School to Work Transition Programs

Essential Personnel works in partnership with a number of schools to assist students with disabilities to gain valuable experience in the workforce to prepare them for future job placements.

Essential Personnel assists students in finding work experience placements through which they can develop their skills and interests in different work settings.
We also provide any specific “on the job” training to the students during their work placements.

We prioiritise services to students in their last year of schooling

We are keen to extend this service to other interested schools within our service area of the Central Wheatbelt and Eastern Hills and Midland .

Essential Personnel commits to prioritising entry for school leavers who have participated in the Transition Program onto the main DEWR funded program.

School Based Traineeships

Our service is able to co-ordinate students with a disability accessing School Based Traineeships. This program allows students to commence part time traineeships with an interested employer whilst continuing with their school studies.
