Leanne Stevenson commenced employment with Essential Personnel in September 2010 at the Northam office as an Employment Coordinator. She moved to the Cannington Disability Employment office in 2014 and then to the Armadale office in 2015 as Site Manager

Leanne has previously worked as a teachers aid for primary school students who have varying disabilities and is currently studying towards her Certificate IV in Disability.

Leanne prides herself in leading a very positive, friendly and strong bonded team.  She ensure all participants feel welcome on their arrival and encouraged when they are at the office, so they feel comfortable to come to their appointments.. Leanne has enjoyed seeing the goals participants have set and being part of the journey to achieve them.   She is proud that this has assisted participants to not feel nervous about returning into the workforce and they regain confidence in themselves, their skills and abilities.

Ivan commenced in employment with Essential Personnel in June 2016 as the Disability Employment Services Site Manager in Cannington.  Ivan has 15 years’ experience in the employment services sector, since moving from London where he worked in Criminal and Community Justice as well as the Disability sector & HIV/AIDS services.. He holds a diploma in Frontline management.

Ivan is passionate about social justice and seeing people reach their full potential in whatever direction they choose. He thoroughly enjoys working with his team of highly skilled colleagues with continual improvement of the Cannington site.

Anita Morana

Anita works with the Metro Team of Essential Personnel Lifestyle Services assisting our valued participants to garner the most from their NDIS Plans.  Anita along with the rest of the team believes open communication and quality service, with a focus on rights and respect are the foundation of quality service provision.

With employment history in state and federal government departments as well as the private sector.  A career as a successful contract manager, administrator, business all-rounder and supporter of grassroots management practice.  Anita advocates the concept the “whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.

Since joining Essential Personnel in 2014, a first introduction into the not for profit sector, Anita worked out in the community as a support worker.  Whilst working with a range of participants, she was able to gain first-hand knowledge of this specialised and highly rewarding work.  This experience, along with being a strong supporter of equality, rights and creative thinking adds value to her role.

Jacinta is employed as a Lifestyles Service and Support Coordinator based in Midland and supporting individuals in the metropolitan area since July 2015.  After 19 years in the Disabilty sector, Jacinta has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Jacinta was born and commenced her career in New Zealand where she worked for one provider in numerous roles including Support Work, Respite Team Leader, Residential Team Leader and Coordination.  Since arriving in Western Australia, Jacinta was employed by the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalous Association as Service Coordinator for two years.

Jacinta is passionate about working in the disability sector as the landscape is forever changing and no two days are ever the same.  Being a part of People’s lives and seeing People with a disability have a voice and assert their needs and wants is a daily highlight- supporting people to reach their personal potential is the most rewarding aspect of Jacinta’s work.

Brenda Hobbs

Brenda commenced with Essential Personnel in 2003 as an Employment Support Worker and is now the Site Manager for Essential Personnel’s Disability Employment Servicesin Merredin. Brenda has led the Merredin site to be in the top 1 per cent for employment services nationally.

Formerly, Brenda was a teacher with the Department of Education since working for Essential Personnel, she has a Certificate IV in Disability.

Brenda’s main focus is to encourage skill development to assist individuals to reach their potential and lead fulfilling lives in the community. Brenda gets a real buzz out of watching a client move towards independence and leading fulfilling lives.

Ashley Boardman

Ashley has been in the disability sector for 7 years and has a 9 year old son living with Autism.

Ashley has been with Essential Personnel for 3 and a half years, both as a support Worker and now as Site manager in Merredin.

Ashley is keen to continue developing connections within the Merredin community and see Marwick House grow into a central hub for individuals living with disability. Ashley sees community connections assisting individuals to have meaningful access to the greater community, work opportunities and the ability to build lifelong friendships with their peers.

While Ashley has been in the community sector he has obtained qualifications in Disability, Youth and Community Services, a diploma in Counselling and is currently studying towards a further qualification in Disability Support.

Ashley enjoys working for a dedicated and professional team and a forward thinking and holistic organization and is excited about the future of Merredin.

Jenny Rodan

Jenny became a member of the Essential Personnel team in 2006. Based in Moora she has worked as an Employment Coordinator self-managing a one-person outreach office In 2013,Jenny’s commitment and unwavering dedication  resulted in the expansion of the Moora office where she is now the Site Manager with a team of 3 staff.

Jenny has a Certificate IV in Disability Services and a passion for providing high quality, person-centered services to individuals with disabilities. She strives to achieve outstanding on-going support for these individuals by providing a supportive environment, a mentoring management structure and a well-trained and enthusiastic team of people with a “can-do” attitude.

Valerie Trent

Valerie has been working at Essential Personnel since February 2016 as the Site Manager in Moora. Valerie has previously worked for the Education Department in various roles including Education assistant and supervisor. Valerie has worked with children with various disabilities and in in rural & remote communities in Western Australia.

Valerie is also an Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Lifesaving/Austswim assessor and a business partner for the family pest control business and undertakes all administration and bookkeeping for this.

 

Valerie is passionate about helping people with disabilities achieve their goals by getting them out into the community. She is a positive person who believes individual goals can be reached with guidance and mentoring from understanding people around them. Valerie enjoys sharing her own personal and professional life skills and experiences with other staff and mentoring them to broaden their journey and that of the participants.

Sonia Nightingale

Sonia commenced employment with Essential Personnel in July 2017 as Assistant Site Manager for Northam Lifestyle Services.

Sonia has been working within the Community and Wheatbelt region for over 20 years and during this time has had the opportunity to work with many diverse personalities and different cultures.

Whilst working within the Community sector Sonia has obtained the following qualifications. Certificate IV in Community Services, Certificate IV in Career Development and Certificate IV in Employment Services being awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award in Education, Community and Children’s Services.

Sonia is looking forward to a long and exciting journey working within the Disability sector.
