Our CEO, Tony Marwick, demonstrates great leadership and has established a workplace culture which creates a harmonious, energised team focussed on achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients. Tony Marwick has been the CEO of Essential Personnel since January 2007. He is recognised as an industry leader and has delivered sessions to other disability providers nationally on delivering high quality supports as a service provider and has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the West Australian Disability Services Commission for innovation in delivering services to individuals with a disability in regional WA.

Wendy commenced with Essential Personnel in 2010. She has worked in the Human Services Disability Sector for over 18 years and has gained her Certificate IV in Human Services Disability.

Prior to Essential Personnel, Wendy worked as a social trainer and provided educational support to students with disabilities in a school setting.

Wendy aspires to bring out the best in others so their goals and aspirations can be achieved. Wendy also volunteers her time to assist with the organization of the Essential Personnel Client Social Club and enjoys this role immensely.

Teeny had 10 years of experience providing support and supervision in the Disability Sector in the United Kingdom before moving to Australia in 2007. She has been with Essential Personnel since 2010 and has worked hard to effectively manage our growing Lifestyle Services division and team.  Teeny has also achieved her Certificate IV in Disability Services.

Teeny has a positive outlook on life and believes that anything is possible with the right attitude. She is passionate about developing her staff personally and professionally so that they are well-equipped to deliver an exceptional service and achieve outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Teeny believes in thinking outside of the normal scope and seeks creative solutions. She places a strong emphasis on employing vibrant staff and is excited about the future of the industry.

Christie has in excess of 20 years of experience in the Disability Industry and 8 years with Essential Personnel. Her extensive experience is valuable in ensuring that all practices of Essential Personnel management, staff and clients are compliant to the DES deed and guidelines and Disability Service Standards. She also ensures that Essential Personnel practices are in line with the DES Code of Practice and the Service Guarantee.

Essential Personnel has expanded its services extensively in recent times and has established an outstanding reputation as a leading provider in Disability Services. Christie has played a pivotal role in overseeing that the quality of client service has been maintained during this growth through effective and rigorous quality assurance and compliance procedures.

Kara Kuppens

Kara joined Essential Personnel Lifestyle Services in mid-2016 in the specialist clinical role of Specialist Coordinator and subsequently, Lead Positive Behaviour Specialist. She now combines her clinical skills with her organisational specialisation in her current role of Human Resource Manager.

Kara obtained a Bachelor of Psychology at Murdoch University in 2000 and a Master of Applied Occupational Psychology in 2004.

Kara commenced a PhD researching health protective behaviours in high risk, contingent work environments. Kara’s work history includes working with individuals at risk in a career consultancy/ training/ recruitment capacity, tertiary teaching to post-graduate level both locally and internationally, in addition to training provision at registered training organisations (RTOs). She has consulted in occupational health and safety, training with RTOs, risk management and organisational development capacities.
Kara has received recognition for her service and achievements, including various research scholarship awards, the Australian Award for postgraduate Research, and the Catherine McAuley Award for Women in Leadership and Service.

Rob Cousins

Operations Manager Employment Perth Metro

Rob has been with Essential Personnel since 2007 and has been the Operations Manager Metro and Moora sites for 9 years. Under Rob’s leadership,  the Metro division and Moora site has consistently performed in the top 10% of disability service providers nationally. Rob has a passion for travel and has assisted the organisation as a travel guide and expedition leader to Cambodia and throughout Australia.
